1. Definition of foam pump
The foam pump is to press out the contents and air together to form a foam pump product, which is often used in the packaging of hand sanitizers, detergents and other products.
2. Development history of foam pump
Before the invention of the foam pump, foam was usually sprayed through aerosol products, that is, the use of liquefied gas to expand the spray to form foam, or the use of foaming agent to form foam after the colloid was sprayed. The real foam pump for daily use is the acupressure foam pump launched by Airspray in 1995 in the Netherlands.
The characteristic of this type of finger pressure foam pump is that its pump body is composed of air pump and liquid pump. The liquid and air in the pump body are fully mixed after spraying. The spraying is stable, the operation is simple, and it is not affected by consumers. The foam quality is good.
Compared with foam aerosol products, finger pressure foam pumps have several obvious advantages: First, they do not need to be filled with projectiles, will not cause environmental pollution, and there is no danger of flammability and explosion. There is no need for metal containers and sealed inflatable equipment, so the cost is low and can be reused. Secondly, most of the liquid formulations of acupressure foam pumps are water-based, are non-volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in nature, and have more popular value. Third, a variety of different shapes of containers can be used, including square, triangular, elliptical, and so on. In addition, the container has no pressure before use, and the choice of container material is relatively large.
3. Application of foam pump
After the introduction of the Shiatsu foam pump, it has won the favor of daily chemical brand manufacturers and achieved rapid market growth. It has been widely used in personal care, household cleaning, automotive supplies, pet supplies and other industries.
4. Description of foam pump product structure
From the internal structure of the product, Shiatsu foam pump is mainly divided into the following five parts:
Execution part: The function is to transmit force to other parts inside the product through the pressure head, and realize the pressure rebound cycle and draining process of the foam pump through the spring. It can be designed according to the shape of the machine head and made into different shapes and colors according to needs (as shown in the figure above).
Liquid storage chamber: The function is to press the head down during the process of squeezing the liquid storage chamber, and suck the bottle out of the liquid storage chamber according to the rebound of the head; in addition, the built-in spring in the liquid storage chamber plays a rebounding role.
Air storage chamber: similar to the liquid storage chamber, except that air is sucked in and discharged from the air storage chamber.
Piping part: the connection between the liquid in the bottle and the entire pump, and the passage for the liquid to enter the liquid storage chamber, to ensure that the liquid in the bottle can be discharged quickly and reduce the amount of liquid residue.
Gas-liquid mixing chamber: When the machine head is pressed down, the liquid in the liquid storage chamber and the liquid and air in the air storage chamber are fully mixed and pressurized in the gas-liquid mixing chamber, and a small foam is formed through compaction. Grid of airflow mixing chamber.
The working principle of foam pumps seen on the market is basically the same. Compared with the traditional pump, the structure of the whole finger pressure foam pump is more complicated, and it has an air storage cavity. The pump is the core component of the entire product, which determines the amount of liquid, foam effect and stability.
