The foam pump has a function that can convert water-based liquids into foam using ordinary air. This is done in the foaming chamber by forcing the water and soap solution through a very fine mesh while adding air.
This formula and non-aerosol foam pump together determine the quality and density of the foam.

The foaming pump is composed of a nozzle or a dispensing head and an engine, in which the liquid is pumped through the mesh through the piston, the closing device and the dip tube.
There are basically two main types of foam pumps. The most commonly used type in the cosmetics industry is a hand-held foamer, a foamer pump that is actuated by one or more fingers by dispensing the product onto the fingers of the other hand. Round HDPE or PET bottles are usually the ideal choices. Aerators with different designs of dispensing heads can be ordered.
Hand-held foamers usually have two diameters. The 42mm foam pump is usually sold with 100ml, 150ml, or 200ml bottles. The smaller version is 30mm in diameter and is used for bottles with a capacity of 50ml or 75ml. These more convenient micro foamers can be used in travel and food markets.
Desktop foam pump
Another type of foam pump is a desktop foamer.
In this model, the bubbler is mounted on a larger, usually oval bottle, which stands upright on the surface when the foam pump is activated.
The most common application of this foam pump is hand sanitizer containing soap or detergent solution. The contents of these bottles are mostly 250ml or 300ml.
